This year's Subsea Engineering Dinner was held in Aberdeen on Wednesday 6 June 2007 at the Marcliffe Hotel. The evening started with reception drinks kindly sponsored by Azura Energy Systems. Alistair Birnie, SUT's Aberdeen Branch Chairman, welcomed all and introduced the guests at the top table. The Marcliffe was outstanding as always with their service and delicious meal, which was accompanied by wine sponsored by BP. During coffee Ian Gallett, SUT's Executive Secretary, lead the Heads and Tails game, eventually won by Lorraine Keep of BP. The game raised a fantastic £900 for SUT's Education Support Fund. The evening's entertainment ended with the extremely funny After Dinner Speaker, Mr Willie Allan (sponsored by Framo).
